The Beach

Olivia building sand castles.
My boys are explorers. They find all kinds of things and this beach had quite a few things to find. First it was this fabulous beer bottle that someone so graciously left behind. They wanted to use it to carry around all of the tiny shells they had already found. As long as they didn't throw it or try to break it, it was alright with me. Besides, they didn't know what sort of bottle it was and didn't ask questions. There were also no garbage cans around or it would have been thrown out. Regardless this nifty bottle proved to be very entertaining
Our next item is this Nasty sock that Colin came hobbling and giggling over with completely filled with sand. EEWWW!! He also found this near the sore and thought he would just slip it on for size I guess. Anyway the damage was already done and he thought he was pretty funny as usual. Who needs buckets and shovels when you have an old beer bottle and a dirty sock???
We had such a fun afternoon at the lake. I can't wait to go again just to see what they come up with.

Kindergarden Graduate

He was NOT happy at all about his graduation and the program they were putting on for the parents. It was really darling though. They sang songs and told all about the different things they had learned throughout the year.  I suppose Mason takes after me a little when it comes to being in front of large crowds, we both get very nervous. He frowned the whole time but was still very brave and said all of his lines.
Mason and his teacher Mrs. Buzzell.
Getting ready to say his part.
What a good boy! We are so proud of him and his accomplishments. Now it's off to first grade. I just can't believe it. Where has the time gone???

Big Girl!!

We are finally out of diapers, for a bit, Yeah!! Olivia kept taking off her diaper after only going once in it and a few times I found her sitting on the toilet, so I guess it was just time and sure enough she was ready. It only took two days, new princess Dora panties, and my little Livy is now a potty trained big girl!

Monster Trucks!!

Last night we went to the fairgrounds to watch the Monster Truck Show. We also saw the "tough trucks"(regular cars like a Ford Explorer and a Sizuki Sidekick) and dirt bikes go off jumps. The big trucks were all pretty cool! This one is   "Half Pint"

These guys did some pretty sweet tricks, but the "mom" in me kept feeling nervous for them.

The "Unamed and Untamed".
Mason with his own monster truck. Colin refused to be in the picture.
"Nasty Boy" doing a smash wheely.
We all thought "Cyborg" was going to tip over on this one for sure.
We call this her Popeye face, but really I think maybe she's winking and giving me a thumbs up because the truck behind her is doing donuts.
I really wish this picture would have turned out better. He's doing a back flip so the bike is upsidedown at this point. It was all really cool and the kids had a lot of fun.

Frogs

This is High Jumper.
The boys found him in our front yard, and spent two days looking for more.
They of course wanted him to be our pet and were constantly holding him, petting him, and trying to teach him tricks.
I think Colin loved him the most. He named High Jumper and they had quite a few long talks. Sadly we had to let him go since he was probably starving and I don't love having a pet, especially the kind you have to wash your hands after each time you touch him.
