Happy Birthday Colin!

For Colin's 6th birthday we reserved our church buildings gym and had a Nerf gun party. It was great! So super easy. All the boys brought their own gun and I provided the bullets. They had wars and ran around like crazy little monkeys. The best part was that there were no need for decorations and almost no clean up.
Silly Colin!
The cup cakes are suppose to look like a target.
Singing Happy Birthday

Colin got lots of cool presents!
Striking a pose. Everyone had a lot of fun!

Halloween

Derrick and I were invited to a Halloween party. Derrick is a cowboy and I am his indian squaw. It was really fun to see all of the couples dressed up. We ate yummy food and played hilarious games. I can't wait til next year!
Mason was a punk rock zombie. Colin was a Star Wars storm trooper. Olivia was Dorothy and Jemmapooh was a bunny.
Cute little bugga!
Olivia loved her costume
Running from one house to another.
Trick or Treat!
Candy! Candy! Candy!

Mason turns 8!

For Mason's 8th birthday he wanted to have his party at Jumpin Jacks. Its a big warehouse full of bounce houses and blow up slides.
Happy birthday to you!
Making a wish!
All the boys took turns doing crazy jumps. They really had a good time.
Action shot: Mason really wanted me to get this picture of him and his cool trick.
Kiley and Olivia having a blast going down a slide. This picture is so funny up close because they look like they are having so much fun. Cute girls!

Pumpkin Carving

We've had a tradition for the past three years of getting together with some of our awesome neighbors and eating dinner and carving pumpkins. It's always so much fun! This year we left the carving to the guys and let all of the kids paint.
Derrick and Rich hard at work, gutting the pumpkins.
Jona and Jay carving the pumpkins.
Ta-da! Pretty spooky, especially the one with the antlers!

3 Months

She is starting to have such a cute little personality. I just love this age!

Derrick's New Truck

Posin
D has always wanted to have a nice truck that doesn't smell funny or have some big dent in it. So when this one became available for trade on his old truck, he couldn't pass it up at only $30 more a month. It's a Ford F150, 4 door. I really don't know much else about it other than the fact that it's huge (these pictures don't do it justice) and it has a great stereo. It's so fun to drive because it has a lot of power and it sits up so high. I'm not allowed, or rather not allowing myself to pull it in to our garage for fear of crashing it, so Derrick is in charge of that. Our boys really love it and want us to drive everywhere in it.

Pink Onesie

This last picture just makes me laugh. It's funny that these pictures were taken on different days and she just happened to be wearing this same pink onesie.

Blessing day

We blessed Jemma on September 1, 2010. So precious!
Derrick's grandparents. Jemma's Grandma and Grandpa Great.
Daddy, Mommy, and Jemma

Derrick gave Jemma a very nice blessing. Only I think he might have been a little nervous because in saying her name, he said Jemma Elisabeth Esplin instead of Jemma Kay which is what we named her. Elisabeth is Olivia's middle name. His sisters and I had a little giggle. Later he got up and corrected himself. Thankfully he didn't have to bless her all over again.

2 Months

She wasn't very happy in this picture, but looks stinkin cute anyway!

Zion

A couple of months ago we took the kids hiking in Zion Nat. Park. I always forget how beautiful it is and it's so close. It's funny though, I always feel like I'm on vacation when we go there because the majority of people up there are foreigners and don't speak English as their first language.
The Weaping rock

It seems like we have to take one of these pics everywhere we go.
It was pretty warm out, so the kids wanted to play in the river. I couldn't get down the little trail with Jemma so we watched from above.
At the end of the hike Jemma poo had a blow out. So here we are coming out of the bathroom. All clean!

Make over

I have wanted to redo this very blah room in my house for a long time but I could never get it just right, until now.
Before...
Boring beige wall, cream colored farm chairs, and non existing window treatments .
After...
I found these chairs on Craigs List and painted them blue with a black glaze on top. Then I recovered the cushions, added a simple white curtain and painted a stencil on the wall behind the hutch.
These chairs were cream colored and the cushions were covered in a blue and white paisley fabric. I am so pleased with the way it all turned out. Much warmer and kid friendly.
